WICEN in South East QLD
The WICEN Network provides integral emergency communications during Natural Disasters and other Events
WICEN Networks are designed for use by trained operators during Emergencies or Natural Disasters.
Operating Guidelines are published by the Wireless Institute of Australia.
WICEN Repeaters can be used for normal Amateur Communications, but any WICEN traffic takes immeadiate precedence.
WICEN Operators are NOT permitted to use Radio Networks belonging to Government Agencies or Commercial Operators.
