Return of the 6m Bunya Repeater
The 6 metre repeater is planned to return to Mt Mowbullan on the Bunya Mountains in the coming months.
The 6m band can present unique challenges, particularly with broadcast interference, however work is underway to bring this service back online.
Stay tuned for updates as this project progresses.
Expanded Coverage into the South Burnett
We've extended our network coverage into the South Burnett region with the addition of VK4RME.
Running 40 Watts into a 3dBd antenna, this site delivers strong regional coverage and links back to Mt Kiangarow.

Supporting WICEN Network Expansion
Members from several clubs are assisting with the rollout, maintenance and expansion of the South East Queensland WICEN network.
The linked system is designed to improve emergency communications coverage from Chinchilla through to Brisbane, the Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast.
Multi-Mode Digital Upgrade
We have upgraded our VK4RET 70cm Repeater to a Multi-Mode FM and P25 capable unit. The earlier Yaesu Multi-Mode unit did not offer the intermod and interference rejection required for full-quieting operation on-site.
It has been replaced with a commercial-grade Tait repeater supporting both Analog FM and P25 Digital operation, delivering improved reliability and performance.
The system is available for use by all amateurs with either FM or P25 capable radios.
438.700MHz | -5.00MHz offset | FM: 91.5Hz Tone on Rx & Tx | P25: NAC 293
For Analog users, program your receiver with the 91.5Hz Tone to prevent digital traffic from opening your squelch.
